What is Astro Book Drive Project?
The objective of “Astro Book Drive” Project is to get the excess books across to astronomical clubs in developing countries.
How to get involved?
To get involved in the Project “Astro Book Drive”, please contact the coordinator.
What are the materials we can donate?
Mainly the materials to be donated are Book (text books), Magazines (back issues of S&T, Astronomy, etc…), Posters, and other reading materials.
You can also donate other materials as CDs, DVDs, magazine subscriptions, lithograph sets, etc…
What about the shipping cost?
Donation making party will have to cover the shipping cost as the receiving party or the Project coordinator is not in a position to cover the cost.

What’s the eligibility to receive donations?
You should be from a developing country. The request page has all the information related to this.
How do we request books, magazines?
Go to the Request page, read the guide line and fill out the form and submit.
Do we have to pay for requesting?
No, you do NOT have to pay any fee. But when you receive the donation you might have to pay tax for the material from your end.
I’m an astronomer/professional; I would like to get involved.
You can donate some reading materials individually as well and of course if you are visiting a developing country, you could possibly do a small program with a local club/society. Or simply you could help to collect reading materials from the organization/institution you are affiliated to.
How do we know what happens to the donations we make.
The donation receiving party will submit a how they are planning to use the materials, when they are applying for the donations. And after receiving the materials, they will send a report with photos.
