Côte d’Ivoire Book Drive – EurAstro helps towards to development of astronomy in Côte d’Ivoire
Ivoir’Astro is an association of amateur astronomers in Côte d’Ivoire. The association established in 2004 and been working on popularizing astronomy locally. With the launch of IYA2009, they took the challenge of spearheading the National Node of Côte d’Ivoire; as a result they have managed to organize various programs.
As an appreciation to their efforts, EurAstro will be running a book drive to facilitate Ivoir’Astro to improve their astronomy outreach efforts. Ivoir’Astro is a cooperate member of EurAstro as well. This book drive will make their collaboration stronger. EurAstro hopes to donate books, leaflets, other materials and a small telescope as well.
These materials will be used by Ivoir’Astro in their programs for school students and general public.
The book drive will collect materials till January 2010.
