Mozambique Book Drive – 15 Girl Scouts helping towards the astronomy education in Mozambique
Scout Troop #897 Seal Beach
Keeping Scout’s honor of helping others and proving that there’s no age limit to be a part of something greater,
15 Girl Scouts aged 9 – 10 team up to run a book drive for our friends in Mozambique.
The Scout Troop #897 from Seal Beach, CA. USA lead by Susan Kienitz has planned to run a book drive for CAstroMoz – (Astronomy Club of Mozambique).
CAstroMoz is an uprising astronomy club lead by Claudio Moises Paulo who has been working on improving astronomy in Mozambique. They have had wonderful events through out the year and look forward to continue it to next years.
The Scouts will start collecting books from January 2010 through March. They are looking forward to get the help from local school, the library and other scouting troops in the area. They are hoping to send the books across after their Astronomy Night planned for March 2010.
If you are from California and would like to be part of this cause by helping the Girl Scouts, please contact Susan Kienitz - susank(AT)whittakercocpas.com
